Shopping

When are new issues released?

Cut+Paste Magazine is released quarterly in March, June, September, and December.

You can subscribe to receive every issue automatically or purchase individual issues from our shop.

Can I preorder upcoming issues?

Absolutely! Preorders are incredibly helpful because they allow us to better estimate our print quantities before production.

Preorders for new issues typically open 2–4 weeks before each issue's launch date, though timing may vary slightly depending on production.

Joining our newsletter is the best way to be notified when preorders open.

Will sold-out issues be restocked?

Yes! Previous issues are generally restocked during the season in which they were originally released.

  • Fall issues — September
  • Winter issues — December
  • Spring issues — March
  • Summer issues — June

You can also join the waitlist on each product page to be notified when an issue becomes available again.

What are Scratch & Dent copies?

Scratch & Dent copies have minor cosmetic imperfections that don't affect the artwork or usability of the magazine. They're a great way to purchase a discounted copy while supplies last.

Shipping

Do you offer tracking?

Magazine orders shipped within the United States include tracking. Once your order ships, you'll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information.

Zines are shipped using an untracked shipping method to help keep shipping costs affordable, so tracking is not available for those orders.

International shipments may vary depending on the shipping method and destination.

My order hasn't arrived. What should I do?

Delivery times vary depending on your location.

  • United States: If your order hasn't arrived within about 3 weeks of the shipping date, please contact us.
  • International: Please allow up to 6 weeks before reaching out.

If your order appears to be lost, we'll find a way to make it right.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently have limited international shipping available.

Many international customers can purchase through one of our retail partners.

  • Canada: Chaque Jour Compte
  • European Union: SayPaper (Italy)

Visit our Find Cut+Paste Magazine in Stores page for the latest list of stockists.

Why won't a magazine ship to my address?

There are a couple possible reasons.

  • The issue may be part of our International Collection, which is only available to customers outside of the United States.
  • An inventory issue may temporarily affect availability. If something doesn't seem right, please contact us and we'll be happy to help.

Subscriptions

How do I cancel my subscription?
  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Go to Account → Subscriptions.
  3. Select Manage Subscription.
  4. Click Cancel Subscription.

Canceling your subscription prevents future renewals but does not cancel an order that has already been processed.

I canceled my subscription but still received a shipping notification.

If your renewal was processed before your cancellation, you'll still receive that final issue. The shipping notification is simply letting you know it's on its way.

Can I change the shipping address on my subscription?

Unfortunately not. Because subscriptions are recurring payments, our website platform doesn't allow the shipping address to be changed after the subscription has been created.

To ship future issues to a new address, you'll need to cancel your existing subscription and create a new one using your updated address.

Creators

How do I submit my work?

We accept submissions throughout the year for our quarterly magazine, themed zines, and our ongoing Your Best Piece open call.

You can see all current submission opportunities here:

cutpastemagazine.com/submissions

Can I submit more than once?

Absolutely! Many creators appear in multiple issues. Submission limits vary depending on the opportunity, so be sure to review the current guidelines.

Will you ever edit my artwork?

Occasionally we may ask permission to make very minor digital cleanups to help artwork reproduce better in print. We'll always contact you first before making any changes.

Wholesale

Do you offer wholesale?

Yes! We love partnering with bookstores, libraries, stationery shops, museums, and gift stores.

You can shop wholesale through our Faire store.
