With our Fall issue, “Gather,” we’re collecting visual art that speaks to the ways we mark the autumn season: a time of slowing down and focusing on what matters. Whether it’s the final garden harvest, putting up jam with friends, or simply enjoying one another’s company around a fire, we want to see what “gather” means to you.

We’d love to see art and photography showing friends and family gathered around the table, baskets laden with the season’s produce, and memories made in cozy candlelit ambience. Photographers might capture the texture of a ripe fig or a sheaf of wheat, the movement of a bonfire’s flames, or a favorite moment in the making. Artists could paint scenes of home that incorporate the colors of autumn produce, armfuls of late-summer wildflowers, and details often missed at a gathering, such as a pie coming out of the oven or stacks of board games ready to be played. In design, we’d love to see fonts inspired by vintage grocery labels, swirling natural textures, and warm autumn colors countered with subtle, muted pastels.
