Open Art & Photography Call:
Submit “Your Best Piece”

Between themed open calls, we continue to accept submissions through our ongoing “Your Best Piece” form.

This is an opportunity to share a favorite work of yours—no need to align with a specific theme. We welcome a wide range of visual art, including illustration, painting, photography, graphic design, lettering, and both digital and traditional media. This open call is designed to give artists flexibility and a chance to submit standout work outside of our regular submission periods.

To ensure fairness, we ask that artists only submit once every 10 days. All submissions are reviewed carefully, and select works may be considered for future issues that align with their tone or style.

Contributors whose work is selected will be contacted via email. Even if your piece isn’t chosen immediately, it may be kept on file for consideration in upcoming themes. We’re always honored to get a glimpse of what you’re working on and believe in celebrating artists year-round—not just during scheduled theme openings.

Submission Payments

If we select your submission(s) for our magazine, this is the payment you’ll receive:

  • Base payment: $15

    Additional photos:
    Full page: $10 USD each
    1 of 2 per page: $7 USD each
    1 of 3 per page: $6 USD each
    1 of 4 per page: $5 USD each

  • Base payment: $25

    Additional artwork:
    Full page: $15 USD each
    1 of 2 per page: $12 USD each
    1 of 3 per page: $10 USD each
    1 of 4 per page: $8 USD each

  • If we choose both art & photography submissions or if your visual art type doesn’t fit in the categories above, we’ll contact you about the specific payment.

  • You’ll be able to opt for us taking $9 out of your payment (+ additional fees for international shipping) in return for a copy of the issue with your work, at our cost.

Qualifications For Submissions

Submissions must all be high-quality PNG or JPEG/JPG files.

Submissions that have been posted online or elsewhere are still accepted, and art/photography that has already been submitted can still be posted and sold by the original creator.
